Barf in the UAE!

Readers rave: "Useless!" "Confusing!" "Willfully obscure." "Nearly incomprehensible." "Give me a break: you think you even _have_ readers? You only update this thing once a year!"

Some uncouth readers may think that by "Barf," I'm referrring to the colloquial Americanism for vomit. In fact, dear reader, I mean no such thing. Barf is a marvellous Iranian product, a detergent that makes clothes so white, they're just like barf! (Which, of course, is Persian for 'snow.') I pray for your eternal souls, you poor ignorant things.

Inequality - تباين

Numbers, numbers, each in their own world of numbers, here thousands, there tens, each creating their own small share of comfort in an ovoid world that nonetheless manages to spin. When Battuta moved in this world his numbers lifted him above so many others, the standing ones, the ones creaking along. And yet, and yet! the world laughed as loftier numbers hurtled lushly past. Battuta hunkered in their wake, only slowly remembering how his number loomed to the tiniest of numbers around him.

So fragile it all is: an inch here, a decimal there, an instant vanishing.

But today, in the cloudless limitless sand ocean, the sum, the sun, all hold steady.
